Meet up with your date and enjoy a heaping latte with a side of French toast or an omelet. A brunch is the perfect date to either warm things up between a special someone and yourself, catch up with a best friend or enjoy a relaxed evening with a long term partner. Here are some great local brunch spots.

-Toast Coffehouse in Port Jefferson and Patchogue.

-Brownstones Coffee in Centereach.

-Crazy Crepe Cafe in Ronkonkoma.

SEE A MOVIE:

Local movie theaters:

-Regal Ronkonkoma

-AMC Loews in Stony Brook

-Movieland in Coram

-Sayville Cinemas

-Island 16 Cinema de Lux in Holtsville

Here are some great and local parks to check out:

VISIT SOME FLUFFY FRIENDS

Not only does true love release those endorphins, so does petting, or seeing, a fluffy friend. There are plenty of places to see a puppy, a cat or other furry friends in the Town of Brookhaven.

-Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter in Brookhaven

Purrhaps you can meet your furever love at the Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter through the My Furry Valentine event, where adoptions are free for cats and dogs who have been at the shelter for longer than six months.

-The Shabby Tabby Cat Cafe in Sayville

The Shabby Tabby Cat Cafe is hosting a date night with cats at 7:30 p.m., where chocolate, soft music and wine will be served amidst all the cats. Single? But looking to meet a purrfect cat friend? The Shabby Tabby Cat Cafe is providing a quiz that will match you with the most compatible cat for you. If you’re looking to just have an hour with the cats, and unlimited hot drinks, then it’s only $16.33 for an hour.

-Long Island Game Farm in Manorville

The Long Island Game is not open on Valentine’s Day, but is open over the weekend for an early or late date. Here, you can pet and see the animals at this zoo, which includes bison, sheep, giraffe, camels, rabbits, an African Serval cat, goats, pigs, a donkey, parrots, peacocks, a lemur, an emu, deer, llamas, ponies, alpacas, chickens and a wallaby. Admission is $18.75 for adults 13 through 61.
